It's weird that even these days people have the odd tendency to assume that a Medical doctor is a male.
Like if I go get an xray or a blood test and I am talking to the technician about when my doctor will get the results and they usually say "He'll get them by ~~~~"
Sometimes I correct them, but sometimes I just let it irk me.
My doctor is, in fact, a woman, as all of my primary physicians have been ever since I became too old to go to a pediatrician.
I've had a number of female doctors and one of my aunts is one. So yes, they are out there in a pretty reasonable number.
It's not really so safe to assume a doctor is a "he" anymore.

Tired
I woke up early today and didn't know why.
I later realized that it might've been because it's much warmer today than usual and in the winter I have a tendency to want to sleep through the coldest parts of the morning and wake up when it gets a little warmer. I guess I might have to break that habit.
I got a lot done today. I am sooooo glad capstone was canceled because I actually was able to have a productive Friday for once.
I suppose that is all. :)
zzzzz

Quick post before class
For some reason, I haven't been sleeping all that well lately. I actually had a period in which I was getting to sleep fairly quickly after going to bed and waking up at a reasonable hour feeling refreshed.
Yes, but that period ended.
*sigh*
I got my JET paperwork yesterday and I'm already working to get that finished and sent off.
Yesterday, my mom and I went to The Sardine Factory for dinner.
"You mean that really fancy, expensive place down by Cannery Row????????"
Yes. That one.
They have a "winter special" and my mom really wanted good lobster.
Plus she's going to be stuck living alone with a picky eater come August.
So yeah, it was a fun experience. Definitely a level of class that I'd never experienced before.
See, I'm definitely a "low class simpleton" because I could actually notice what was ridiculously excessive- which was a lot. (haha)
The food, of course, was great.
Anyway, off to class now. :)

India Clay Oven
My heart broke today.
India Clay Oven- my favorite restaurant in all of Monterey Bay to eat is now CLOSED.
*sad*
Mom, David, and I were going there to eat dinner to celebrate my acceptance into JET. We walked around the corner and I froze in my tracks. The painted window was empty except for a sign that said "For lease."
I checked out by the elevator and then went up the stairs to find it they had a new location posted anywhere- they didn't.
So we ended up going to a new Indian restaurant in Monterey- basically, the service was horrible and the food tasted NOTHING like what I had grown to love at Indian Clay Oven. Starbucks sells better tasting Chai than this place- sad, right?
So yeah, I'm really sad about it.
Throughout the whole dinner, I was looking across the table to my mom and asking "why????????"
I got home and googled for the answer-
Here's an article.
Ideally, they would reopen their restaurant somewhere else, but with high prices around here, I have doubts.
Sadness.
I'm telling you, the world doesn't like it when I have food that I especially like.

Why I simply cannot take MySpace seriously-
An ad I saw today--

And here was what MySpace told me my blog stats were a long while ago-

It's also been telling me consistently these past few days that I have blog subscriptions posts- which isn't true.
Then there's this retarded thing that keeps showing up-

It's one of those horrid ads that actually make noises until you finally simply cannot stay on the page you're looking at any longer.
You've probably seen them before-
"Congratulations, you've just won a ________"
If you've been unfortunate as I have and heard that waaaay too many times, you could've probably thought of that horrible voice in your head while reading that.
But back to the stupid lion ad. It's "meeorrrwwww"s at you. I wouldn't even call it "meow"ing because it sounds really ugly. I loved lions since I was a little kid, but that thing isn't even sort of cute or even moderately likable.
So yeah- myspace sucks.
Facebook is going downhill these days, too.
I heard today that gang members have been taking pictures of facebook of their "targets" and putting them on youtube videos asking them to be... well... taken out. Seriously now, the internet needs to be given back to the people who used it before everyone and their dog started using myspace.
Okay, Julia is going a bit too far now.
So this is where I'll end this post.

Short list
So I learned today that I managed to fool the JET interview people after all.
:D
I'm on the short list- it's just a matter of paperwork now.
